Mankey feels honest despite its temper. Real monkeys can often be opportunistic and stealthy but Mankey isn't deceptive about its intentions. Also I like its simplistic design - just a little blob with monkey face, pig nose and tiny limbs. The anime version is friendly until you provoke it.
